DR. SHANDRA PARKS

PhD, LMSW, CFSW, CCGSO, AFC Candidate (Accredited Financial Counselor)

Dr. Parks is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has been working with children, youth and families for over twenty years in the areas of child welfare, community social work and ministry wellness. She is currently employed as a Family Involvement Facilitator, Resource Home Worker and is a Field Instructor for MSW students with the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. Dr. Parks provides wellness couseling, financial education as well financial counseling to individuals and families impacted by Disordered gambling.

Dr. Parks received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Seton Hall University, Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, Christian Studies Diploma Jericho Christian Training Center and Doctor of Philosophy in Pastoral Counseling from Family Bible College and Seminary. She also holds an additional certification in Financial Social Work, International Clergy Problem Gambling Spiritual Outreach Certification and presently an Accredited Financial Counselor Candidate.

Dr. Parks is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Annapolis/Anne Arundel Financial Education Coalition and serves as Board President with the Maryland Council on Problem Grambling.
